Reservation for Murder (by June Wright) is a 1950s Australian mystery about a nun, Mother Paul, who runs a Melbourne hostel for young working women where anonymous poison-pen letters are causing tension, which escalates when a strange man is found stabbed to death in the garden and a resident later appears to have committed suicide, leading Mother Paul and a resident, Mary Allen, to investigate alongside the police to find the killer among the strained community.
